While living in Vancouver I had the pleasure of working with Douglas Kennedy and had the chance to look through his incredible archive of black and white photography from the 60’s and 70’s. You can see more of his work here http://douglas-kennedy.blogspot.co.uk/

(This was one of the first artworks I ever bought for myself. The artist, Douglas Kennedy, runs a photography club just two blocks from my house at the Ray Cam Community Center. For just five dollars you can go there and he will teach you anything you want to learn about film photography. He is there twice a week. In exchange for this service they let him use the darkroom where he prints his beautiful iconic photographs and posters.)
